Explaining the Issue of Endocrine Disruptors to Children
Teaching kids what endocrine disruptors are and what is at stake is one of the goals of the Intersectoral Centre for Endocrine Disruptor Analysis (ICEDA).
Our first initiative: a science popularization book for children aged 5 to 10 to raise their awareness of environmental protection and the effects of pollutants on environmental and human health.
In addition to teaching children and youth about the environment, this project will also improve children’s reading skills in French and English since the book will be bilingual. This first book of the science popularization series for children will be followed by a second one on the effects of chemicals found in our homes.
On this International Education Day, we recall that ICEDA, co-directed by professors Valérie Langlois and Isabelle Plante from the Institut national de la recherche scientifique, is currently leading a crowdfunding campaign to carry out their project.
